For a while now, I have really wanted to talk about how important mindset is in regards to growing your Network Marketing or direct sales business.
Because we’re going to come up against a lot of people that are not going to understand what you’re going after, not understand what you’re looking to create for yourself and for your future.
Well, guess what? Working a 9 to 5, it’s just not cutting the bills, it’s just not paying the bills. It’s just not cutting it for us anymore.
Times have changed. People want more freedom, more time to spend with their families. To do the things that they really want to do. Just know, deep down, that you have something and you need to hold onto it with every ounce of your being, because it is amazing.
You guys, I’ve been part of Corporate America. I’ve been part of a traditional business where I worked as a slave for eight years, owning my own franchise. I’ve been in Network Marketing now for four years. Within a year, I created a six-figure income residual, and then I went on to a multiple six-figure income by my 23rd month.
We do have a better way. And I know that in the core of my being. I speak it with conviction, and that’s what I want for all of you.
Watch what you say.
Here’s a quote that I absolutely love. It’s by Brian Tracy…
“Never say anything about yourself you don’t want to become true.”
Oftentimes, I hear people degrade themselves, and it makes me furious. Why are you degrading yourself? There is no need for it.
What do you believe about yourself? What do you believe about other people? Stop saying people are lazy or you’re going to manifest that.
People are people, it doesn’t matter where you are. It all boils down to your leadership.
If you think, “I can’t be a leader because I haven’t really developed a huge team,” you are wrong. It doesn’t matter. If you have sponsored one person – guess what – you’re a leader.
It’s time to own that and step up to it.
What do you believe about your world? What’s your belief about money?
People don’t even realize that they have a money story and they have blockages because of what they were told about money when they were growing up.
“Money doesn’t grow on trees.” “That’s too expensive.” “We can’t afford it.”
All of that is nonsense. You want to sit down and say, “Money flows to me easily.”
You want to bring in more good.
What is your belief about success?
Say, “I’m a born champion.” Just say it.
The more you say it out loud, with conviction, the more you’re going to believe it.
“I’m a born champion.”
You guys, I didn’t always have this confidence. This came through me doing all of these things that I am sharing with you now.
What do you believe about Network Marketing? Does your belief need to be a little bit stronger?
Here’s my three-step process to change the way you think and what you believe, to really get into what you do.
Step One – Awareness
Know yourself before other people. Be aware of anything negative coming from you. You want to be conscious of it. And then acknowledge it and say to yourself, “Okay, knock it off, Julie. Stop.”
Say it out loud to yourself, “Just stop.”
Step Two – Understanding Negative Beliefs are Lies
Saying, “I’m too shy.” “I’m too old.” “I’m wrong.” I’m not charismatic.” “I’m not bold enough.” “I’m not an extrovert.” “I’m not an introvert.” “I’m not a salesperson.”
All these lies that we create, we just pull them out of thin air. Nothing has meaning until we give it meaning. We are meaning-making machines, so stop giving this negative stuff meaning. Okay?
Step Three – Replace Your Negatives with Positives
Super, super, super important.
Even if you’ve been failing miserably, whatever your version of failing is…the only way to fail in Network Marketing or direct sales is to quit.
But if you feel like you’re failing miserably in Network Marketing, even if it’s your fifth year, whatever, you’re still ahead of the game because guess what, you know exactly what not to do.
This means that you are an amazing Network Marketer. You built this deep foundation, and now you’re learning what to do and what not to do along your journey.
What you need to start saying and thinking over and over again is …
“I am a champion. I am successful.”
Use that and reprogram your belief because you really want to sit there and change your identity. That’s what it all boils down to – changing your identity and working on that every single day.
I hope this message has helped because I see people’s mindset and I talk to a lot of people that get down on themselves. I don’t want that to pull you away from building this amazing business, because I want to tell you right now, you are incredible. You have a voice. You have something to give to people. You have something to offer people.
You could have all the how-tos in the world. You could have all the scripts in the world, but if you don’t get your mindset this right, and you don’t start speaking to yourself with this positive vibe to create your inner world of positivity, it’s going to be really hard.
You guys, I get it. Not everyday is going to be fabulous. Trust me, my road to multiple six figures had a lot of wall-kicking moments. But here’s the thing – I kept pressing on. I kept moving forward, because that means you’re growing.
