In this episode, I really want to speak from the heart because I have been talking to so many amazing people lately. I have my one on one coaching and group coaching because, let’s just face it, we need to leverage our time. I want to help everybody, and that’s why I do these trainings.

One thing in particular I want to talk to you guys about is mindset. I know I talk about connecting, objections and things like that.

However, I feel like mindset really is the foundation to our business, and I know this because I’ve done a lot of personal development. I don’t know if you can relate to that, I don’t know if you’ve done your own personal development. I’m assuming so because I feel like network marketing is a personal development journey with a pay attached to it, right? Because we’re making residual income, or we hope to make residual income.

I’m definitely not the same person I was four years ago when I found network marketing. Before I found network marketing I owned a franchise where I kept my head down and I ran my stores. I was a prisoner and I was depressed. I graduated high school early and never went away to college, I never got the four year degree … I wasn’t conventional, I guess you would say. I felt, personally, that maybe I wasn’t smart enough. I kept that with me for a really long time, that I felt like I was unworthy of success.

After leaving corporate America and investing in my franchise to get away from corporate America, I completely hit a wall. I found network marketing and I didn’t realize what I was getting myself into, and I’m sure a lot of you haven’t, either.

Network marking can be tough, right? There’s a lot of adversity, there’s a lot of people saying no. You are questioning yourself, “Is it me? Why are they saying no to me?” And you guys, it’s not you. It’s just that they don’t know enough, so they’re saying no because they don’t know what they’re saying no to.

So please, stop, get over that right now.

You almost have to build a shield around yourself.

You’re going to encounter adversity with your friends and family, they’re going to think you’re part of something, a cult, a pyramid scheme. They’re not going to understand. You guys, I’m speaking really raw right now. It happened to me, you can look at my success. I grew to six figures in about twelve months and then to multiple six figures. What if I had let people hold me back, right?

So, you get upset, that will happen, but you have to build this shield around yourself and become bulletproof to words. Just know and believe and trust yourself more than anything. It’s really going to test you, okay? I know this to be a fact because I’ve been there. Don’t look at me and say, “Oh, she’s had success and it comes easy to her.” You guys, no.

There’s a lot of blood, sweat, and tears that have happened in the last four years, and still is happening now that I’m breaking out and I have my Create Success with Julie brand.

I just want you guys to understand that you build with integrity; by being yourself, offering solutions, and persevering. Be driven, be determined more than anything. It’s not like a “Hey, I’ll show you,” it’s a “You know what, I know I can do this and I’m going to show myself that I can do this.”

I want to help you guys understand that clarity is power. Clarity comes from doing, clarity comes from taking action. I talk to so many people that keep saying that they have fear.

Of what? What are you guys afraid of? I’d be more afraid of failure than anything else, more fear of not taking action than anything else.

I could sit here and I can say that it’s easy, and it’s not. When I created this Create Success with Julie brand, you guys, I was stuck. I was a mess, I didn’t know what direction to take, I was questioning everything. I’m a perfectionist, for those of you that do know me, and I had a lot of fear around doing these Facebook Lives, and I had to let it go. And look at the waterfall effect coming my way.

It’s crazy, I have reached seven figures, and it’s not about that. I’ll tell you right now, it is not about that.

It is these messages that I’m getting from everybody, it is people reaching out to me and pouring their heart out to me. Just knowing that I’m truly making an impact and am helping other people’s lives. Yes, the money’s great, not going to lie about that, but it’s secondary to the impact that is being created and all of these opportunities that are coming my way. Why?

Because I took action and I stepped out of my box, I stepped out of my comfort zone. I stopped making excuses. One of the excuses was, I don’t have makeup on every day, how am I going to do a Facebook Live? I’m in yoga gear half the time, because I’m a stay at home mom. That shouldn’t matter. I had to get out of my own way so can make an impact for the rest of you. And you have to get out of your own way so you can make an impact in somebody else’s life.

Every single one of us in network marketing has something for somebody. It’s not going to be for everybody, but there is something that you have for somebody. You just have to play matchmaker and find the person that needs what you have. So stop those thoughts of what you don’t have and start focusing more on what you want. That’s probably my biggest tip for you.

Figuring out what your why is and what’s your vision. Your why doesn’t have to be this huge, elaborate thing. I know for me, when I got started, I didn’t know what my why was, I was like, “I love the product. That’s why.” Right? I want to just impress upon you that you are amazing, and you guys can do anything you put your mind to. You truly can.

The other thing was, I entered an affiliate contest, you guys some of you know this, no idea what I was doing. I just … I’m real, right? I didn’t know what the heck I was doing, and yet I took first place. Do you know how scared I was? But imagine if I did not step into my power and just do it. Again, I just figured it out as I went. You have to take consistent, persistent action every day towards your dreams, towards your goal, towards your vision.

I talked to clients all the time who have fear.  And I don’t want to see fear hold you back, because you’re meant for more. Just know that you have an amazing opportunity to change your life, you have an amazing opportunity to change somebody else’s life. You’re worth it. Sometimes we just need to knock off the noise and take those steps in the right direction, stop letting people hold you back, stop allowing yourself to hold you back. Trust in yourself and believe that you are worth it, all right?
