If you don’t already know, I’m a very no bullshit type of person. I won’t sugar coat anything or fluff up your feathers. It’s just how I am. So fair warning, today’s topic gets me all riled up! I’m passionate about how I feel about it and I will NOT hide it.
Why?
Because bullying is so freaking ridiculous. I was bullied a year ago by my upline for making a decision that was best for me. I was publicly humiliated, my name was dragged through the dirt, and I was shunned.
Gah! Just thinking about it makes me so 😡😡
But here’s the truth: You HAVE to make hard decisions in life that are good for your well-being and sometimes you’re going to get to see your haters rise. And it’s going to suck and hurt, but goddamn will you see how much greener the grass is on the other side.

Why Network Market Bullying Needs to STOP
Why I went off on my own
Okay, before I jump right into encouraging you to stand up for yourself, I have to share with you my story. Because, just like it’s happened to you, it’s happened to me.
Here’s what happened:
I noticed how often new network marketing business owners practiced spamming. Such a HUGE no-no. No one wants to see your shakes on the daily or be sent messages where business is just shoved down their throats without warning. I knew from my years of experience that none of these people received training on how to properly market themselves on social media. It’s just not included in the training for some of these companies.
So, what I wanted to do was become a coach. You know, live that entrepreneurial life of staying home with my boys and being able to work at the same time. This was a journey I wanted to take because I knew that attraction marketing WORKS and I needed to share this with others. Because at the end of the day, we are a family here in Network Marketing and I want you ALL to succeed.
But, my upline felt different about this. They were rude, spoke very ill about me and my decision. Heck, they even would hop on their Lives and completely shatter my image, all because I felt that I could do so much good by coaching others to market themselves correctly.
And that was unfrickinbelievable, you guys.
Like total jabs in the back, no I’m proud to see you grow. Instead, I was viewed as a damn money sign instead of a human. And because I had more self-respect and multiple streams of income, I said goodbye to my six-figure life with that company and started from SCRATCH with a new company. And let me tell you, I ROSE fast. The support and encouragement I received helped me get back to my six-figures and then some.
Don’t Force Yourself To Deal With The BS
I can’t stress enough how important it is to have multiple streams of income. What happened to me is a prime example of why you’ve got to have it. I know there are some people who feel as though they are STUCK because they can’t afford to leave the negativity of a company. There are uplines out there with such a power trip that they act as if they are your boss.
NEWS FLASH!!! They aren’t. YOU ARE.
Companies emphasize how joining them equals freedom. Your own hours, your own business. You’re supposed to be your own boss, yet if your upline (who is supposed to be a MENTOR btw) is throwing scare tactics at you to force you into doing what they feel is best… that is by far that is the most disgusting thing I’ve seen.
If someone in my downline comes to me and tells me for whatever reason they are heading in another direction in life and are leaving, I’m absolutely going to be sad, but I will wish them the very best with a loving heart. I would never make them feel like crap for making the decision to leave. There are thousands of network marketing companies out there, so naturally, it might take a couple tries before you find the perfect one for you.
Be The Change You Want To See In The World
If you are being bullied, respect yourself enough to tell them BYE and find another company that appreciates you. One that will always encourage you to be a free thinker. Because, again, your upline is your mentor NOT your boss. You have a voice, so speak up and use it. Remember, there are thousands of companies out there, so don’t you even DARE to swallow the pain and tolerate that bullying bullshit.
I mean, you wouldn’t tolerate your child being bullied, so why in the hell should you?!
Great leaders teach their people to be independent thinkers and dream seekers. They encourage you to continue growing throughout your ENTIRE life. Whether they are a part of it or not is, is irrelevant. So if you are one of those uplines who bullies, check yourself. It’s their life, not yours. Be happy for your team on their growth in and out of the company. Respect and genuinely support their decision. Because these are PEOPLE, not MONEY SIGNS.

You are worth standing up for yourself whether you make millions or not. Live the life YOU want! Build however YOU want! Find a company that respects you and build a team with ZERO tolerance for bullying!
Show others that there are uplines out here who want you to succeed whole-heartedly. Push yourself and your team to always look forward and never look back. You have the power to make the decisions you need to for the well-being of you and your family.
The network marketing business is like a family. We are a community and culture that should always be encouraging one another to succeed. We help each other out and share tips and tricks so that we can all learn to work smarter and not harder. And in this type of mindset, bullying is absolutely unacceptable.
